What better way to enjoy the (barely) fall weather with a cardigan and a pair of chukkas? I fell in love with this cardigan last summer (yes, I wore it in the summer). It's sooo comfy and I love the print. This is probably the only tribal print I own because I'm not typically a fan. However, this was an exception. Even though the cardigan feels bulky, it's actually pretty flattering. It ends right above my knees, which is good because sometimes clothing that goes past your knees makes it look like it's swallowing you.
I recently got a pair of chukkas. I'm all about women wearing men's clothing, and rocking a pair of these shoes is a great way to do so. If you're not ready to wear a bow tie with an oxford dress shirt, play it safe with chukkas. I've learned that the best way for woman to wear these is with cuffed pants (men usually tuck their pants into these shoes).
I completed this look with a light-wash pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. I kept it simple because the cardigan and chukkas are already busy. Also, I opted for a pair of light-wash jeans instead of dark (what people normally wear in fall/winter) because it's fun to go against fashion "norms".
Hopefully the weather continues to cool down so I can continue to wear this cardigan and not get a heat stroke (gotta love Florida).
