Hello, from New York City

View from the rooftop at The Met

I tried rewriting the intro a few times, but couldn't come up with a clever way to start this post explaining why I haven't blogged in few months. I'm going to be blunt; I got busy and lost interest. Between balancing school, an internship and job applications, I found myself stressing about my future and forgetting to do what I loved--writing.

A lot has happened in these past few months (good things, thankfully!) I graduated from the University of Florida, cum laude, with a B.S. in public relations. After months of job applications, self doubt and hair loss (just kidding about the last one), I finally made it to New York City.

Let me just say what a relief it was to hear that someone wanted me to work in their company. The job market is so unpredictable, hence I'm beyond grateful that I was able to find something. I'm also beyond grateful for having the support of my family (especially my parents). Seeing them so proud and happy for me reassured me that I made the right decision.

So, I've been living in the city for about a month and I absolutely love it! The buildings, city lights, delicious food, endless amount of things to do...I love everything about this city. Ok, maybe not the traffic, that actually kind of sucks. But, besides that I feel really, really happy being here. So much, that this city has inspired me to continue with my blog.

Dreams are supposed to come true in New York, right? Well I'm going to try to make mine happen. So keep an eye out for next week because you can expect some blog posts coming your way. I can't promise to post everyday (I'm a working gal now), but I'm going to try my best!

In the meantime, enjoy some pics I've taken of the city :)

Spent my first Sunday brunch, appropriately, at Sarabeth's

Went to Coney Island for the first time & went go-karting with my boyfriend

The 'China: Through the Looking Glass' exhibit at The Met is absolutely gorgeous...I want one of everything, thanks

Shared a drink with my Uncle at The Plaza Hotel when he was in town

Went to Governor's Ball in Randall's Island & had a blast!

Saw the Freedom Tower & 1 World Trade Center with my uncle

Shared the most delicious shaved ice with my friend at Snowdays Shavery

Drove to Connecticut when my parents and sisters came to visit & saw my future house
